Senior Data Analyst

Job Responsibilities This position will be part of an Engineering Team which focuses on the design, development, deployment and management of advanced technologies such as unified communications (including VoIP), security, wireless, optical, telepresence, storage, as well as supporting network architecture and Microsoft infrastructure solutions. This team comprises of professionals proficient in the deployment of solutions primarily from Microsoft (Gold Certified), Cisco (Gold Certified), EMC (Premier Partner), IBM (Business Partner Certified), NetAPP (Platinum Partner), Nortel (Elite Advantage Certified), and Sun (iForce Partner). Responsibilities & Duties: • Provide understanding of the data families to be modeled as it relates to the functional application and definition of the data elements • Maintain the business glossary data definition & ontology that is mapped to the physical data. This role will function essentially as the business subject matter experts of the data • Develop expertise on information relating to the organization’s business functions; information which defines and describes the organization’s business rules, processes, practices and methods to conduct and manage the business. • Provide Data-driven analysis, reporting, monitoring, data rule and integration specification This role will assist data management team in understanding: “What does this field actually mean in a business context?” “How can I rapidly communicate the business requirements to the developers?” • With the data models developed combined with expertise in the data element definitions and relationships, data analysts will be required to work together with data modelers to perform data lineage analysis and impact analysis required when implementing changes to the data.
Experience/Qualifications Requirements Experience with: * Technologies such as unified communications (including VoIP), security, wireless, optical, telepresence, storage, as well as supporting network architecture and Microsoft infrastructure solutions * Familiarity with solutions primarily from Microsoft (Gold Certified), Cisco (Gold Certified), EMC (Premier Partner), IBM (Business Partner Certified), NetAPP (Platinum Partner), Nortel (Elite Advantage Certified), and Sun (iForce Partner)
